Georgia Smies

Georgia Smies is an educator and aquatic scientist with a passion for protecting water quality and promoting traditional ecological knowledge (TEK).  She currently teaches Wildlife and Fisheries at Salish Kootenai College and focuses her research on aquatic invasive species and water quality.

She has worked as an aquatic scientist in the private sector as well as for Federal and Tribal agencies.  Georgia is committed to keeping Montana waters free of invasive mussels!

Georgia and her family reside and play in the beautiful Mission Valley of Montana.
